Ocala, Florida — One man is dead after being shot to death following an argument at 513 SW 12th Avenue, Ocala.
Jarrett Davis, 25, of Ocala, shot and killed Ramone Mike, 27, also of Ocala, Saturday, November 23, 2013.
When Ocala Police arrived on the scene, Mike was lying on his back in the street as EMS provided medical attention.
According to reports, several family members were up the street fighting as Mike lay there bleeding. Police said they had to break up the fight.
Police interviewed several witnesses, all who claimed they had not seen anything.
Mike’s brother tried to leave the scene, but was ordered by police to stay for questioning.
Two brothers gave minimal information about Mike and refused to give their personal information to police, according to reports.
Both Mike and Davis have felony criminal records.
Mike has been arrested and charged multiple times for Felony Cocaine Possession, and has two separate arrests and charges dating back to 2006 for Discharging a Firearm in Public.
Davis has been arrested for Possession of a Concealed Weapon and Improperly Displaying a Deadly Weapon.
Davis was taken to the Ocala Police Department for questioning, but later released.
Mike was treated at the scene and transported to ORMC, where he died from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say two guns were recovered from the scene.
According to police, this case is currently being treated as a homicide and has been turned over to the State Attorney’s Office for further review.
Police said Mike and Davis had been feuding for quite some time.
