Ocala, Florida — Marion County Fire Rescue units were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash in the vicinity of the U-Haul Self Storage, located at 5555 South Pine Avenue, Ocala.
When Rescue 531 arrived on scene, crews found that a Honda had been involved in a collision with a farm tractor and its trailer.
The driver of the passenger vehicle was pinned in the wreckage and had to be extricated. Engine 16 and Engine 33 crews worked feverishly to perform the extrication, freeing the driver from the wreckage.
The driver was immediately transported to a local hospital as a “trauma alert.”
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
