Ocala, Florida — Video for the July 23, 2016, break-in at the Volkswagen of Ocala dealership, located at 5135 SW College Road, Ocala, has been released.
The video shows several black males, who concealed their identity, smash a glass door and enter the business.
The thieves were inside the dealership for approximately 20 minutes.
According to police, the dealership had security cameras, but no alarm system.
The thieves arrived at the location in a stolen Kia Forte.
The Kia Forte that had been reported stolen out of Orlando was later discovered in a nearby field.
Investigators stated that three of the stolen Volkswagens were also recovered in the Orlando, one of which had been involved in an accident. No suspects were located at the crash site.
The dealership suffered a loss of more than $100,000.
Police said that the thieves seemingly knew exactly where the keys to the vehicles would be located, but did not say if the break-in was an inside job.
